Edit Profile
In this guide, we’ll go over how to edit your profile on Recycled Plastic dot Com. This is probably one of the first things you want to accomplish before adding a listing. This way, visitors looking at your advertisements will know a little more about you. Come on, don’t be shy!
Let’s start from the beginning and quickly go over how to log into Recycled Plastic dot Com. If you remember where the link to the registration process is, the “login” button is in the exact same place – the upper right hand corner. See picture below:
Once you click the login button, you’ll be directed to the login page. Enter your username and password into the appropriate fields and click the “login” button.
If you have forgotten this information (I forget all the time), you can check your email. We sent a copy of this information to you. If you cannot find this email, fear not, click the “Lost your password?” button and follow the instructions.
We recommend leaving the “remember me” button checked. This will store your login information on your computer and automatically log into your account when you visit our website. Pretty handy if you asked me!
Once you’re successfully logged in, you’ll arrive at your account dashboard (pictured below).
To edit your profile, click on the “edit profile” link located on the right hand side. We’ve pointed it out with a red arrow in the picture above.
Fill in all the required information. We strongly recommend spending some time writing a good “About Me” description. That is, if you’re a company, you should write a short introduction, information on the type of plastic scrap you handle, and possibly your contact information. Remember, everything you write will be visible to any visitor that comes across your profile page.
At the bottom of the page, you’ll find the user photo section. We also strongly recommend adding a picture of yourself or your company logo. Studies have shown that if you add a picture, visitors are more likely to remember and associate with your advertisement and or business listing. Differentiate yourself from the rest of the crowd!
By the way, do not upload any inappropriate pictures – your account will be deleted!
When you’re done filling out your information and adding a picture, click the “Update Profile” button. You’re all set!
